REVIEWS
How reviews work on detailmasters

Who can review your studio, and what protects you?
Only a client with an account, a confirmed email and a completed booking at your studio, either one the client made or a walk-in booking you recorded with that client's email. A review runs from 1 to 5 stars with a comment of up to 1000 characters, is tied to that visit and shows on your page with a Verified visit tag. Each client has one review per studio: reviewing again replaces the previous one. You get a notification for every new review and can reply in public. If a review is not about the work, open Reviews in the dashboard and tap Ask for removal under it: an administrator decides and, if they refuse, explains why in writing. Replying and asking for removal are available from the Starter plan up.

How do the automatic requests work?
On the Advanced plan, we ask for the review on your behalf 48 hours after the booking is completed. Whoever reviews after the request gets a coupon for 50% off the reservation fee (what the client pays the platform when booking) on their next five bookings with you, for about six months. The discount comes out of our fee, and your price stays the same. The request goes out like this:
- a client with an account gets a notification on the platform, plus an email if they gave marketing consent;
- a direct client without an account gets an invitation to create one and review.
How do reviews change your place in the listing?
The star average shows on the studio card but plays no part in the order: a studio on 4.6 with thirty reviews sits ahead of one on 5.0 with three. When a client searches for studios in a town, the listing orders them by four things, and the number of reviews is the only one that depends on your work:
- the plan;
- location: studios in that town, or that list it as an area they work in, come before those that are only nearby;
- the number of reviews;
- the age of the account.

One review per client. It's the number that counts.
